Problem
Hertz Farm Management was contracted to sell off the Kramer Estate. Since the Estate lay along the Cedar River, a survey was needed to determine the precise number of acres.
Solution
Brain Engineering was retained to provide the surveying and plat for the estate. The job required intense professional scrutiny. The estate had outdated boundaries described at the turn of the 20th century. The boundaries included in the description “as along the center of the drainage way to stand of trees”. Riparian rights were also involved as the Cedar River has meandered its course over the years. Detailed analysis of the owners abstract along with descriptions of the adjoiners were carefully done. Old photography was overlaid over the survey to determine if the drainage way was the same as described years ago.
Finished Project
The survey was completed, and a plat prepared and recorded.
